Aiming to bring new blockbuster drugs from Japan to the world!

Yuichi Hidaka President and CEO Management strategy
DWTI aims at a middle return with low cost and low risk.
One of the DWTI's features is to establish business models with low cost and low risk, without directly engaging in clinical development. Probability of success in new drug development is said to be as little as one twenty-thousandth (1/20,000). In general, direct engagement in clinical development of a new drug is expected to bring a high return after it is launched. DWTI, however, aims to achieve a middle return by concentrating management resources on fundamental research and reducing risk with the original drug discovery technology.

Performance
The time of up front investment is expected to continue for the time.
The time of up front investment is expected to continue for the time being since we will keep our focus on R&D activities, while we also take the utmost care to achieve stable management. Then, we aim to achieve a surplus on the bottom line at an early stage by promoting newly developed drugs and the development of pipelines at the stage of clinical development.

Challenges
We challenge for continual development of new drugs.
In order to ensure sustainable business growth, we will promote the expansion of pipelines. Specifically, we intend to bring one newly developed drug in two or three years. Aiming to become profitable as soon as possible, we will be committed to the promotion of newly developed drugs and the development of pipelines in the stage of clinical development.

Perspectives
We aim to become a front runner among bio ventures in the world.
DWTI is one of the unique bio ventures that engage in the discovery of new drug seeds, which are becoming more difficult to find in the world. We keep on running in order to bring patients innovative new drugs that satisfy unmet needs.
